Welcome, Baby Girl!!

Just over a week ago, we welcomed our baby girl into the world.

We really hoped for a baby girl {well, everyone except my little boy — he was really counting on a brother}.

Of course, a boy or girl would have been wonderful and awesome and a joy; but we were excited about the possibility of a baby girl.

I’m thankful to our Father for hearing the desires of our hearts and blessing us with a precious daughter.

Our little boy is pretty pleased with “his baby” too and so excited to be a big brother. He was happy with a little sister once he held her in his arms.

The snow here has forced us into a very quiet week — with very few obligations and plenty of time to relax with one another. It’s been the perfect week for getting to know our new baby.

He always knows what we need, and provides blessing even when we do not ask.
