Creating painted art with a child can be a messy task, but that doesn’t mean that the end result can’t be beautiful. Isn’t that kind of what it is like to be a mom? Each day is taking the mess of life and making it beautiful.
I can’t wait for you all to check out these three projects. They feel fresh and stylish while celebrating the creativity of a child. Plus, time spent painting with your kids is a great option for a springtime afternoon. We painted on the deck, enjoyed the weather and talked about the “magic” of paints {my son loves to guess which color can be created from two other colors}.

You can get the tutorial for each art gift over at Beauty in the Mess, where I’m guest posting today. If you aren’t familiar with Whitney, she’s originally from Louisville, KY {which is also my hometown!} and is Mom to 4 little ones. She writes about faith, motherhood and homemaking; with a heart for encouraging moms in everyday life.
For those of you who aren’t as interested in tech-y projects, I’ve also listed the kid’s art card in my shop. All you have to do is send me a photo of their artwork and specify which phrase you’d like to see on the card.
I’m thinking that a “Happy Birthday” set would be fun to have on hand. I know my little guy would be proud to give his friends a Birthday Card that featured one of his own creations.

What great ideas! We had some notecards made from one of my son's drawings. I have a hard time mailing them out because they are so special to me!

Such cool ideas! I love making things with my kids' artwork. Cards are such a perfect idea. I'm thinking "Thank you" cards would be awesome too.

My mom still has artwork that I made for her as a little kid. These look beautiful! What mom or grandma wouldn't want one?

Oh that would be cool to use some art from my childhood! I hadn't thought of that and I know my mom has some still, too.
