It’s been a busy Christmas season. Our tree wasn’t decorated until last night, no cards have been sent and not one gift is wrapped. However, there are several things we have finished, that are meaningful and purposeful during this Christmas season.
#1. Christmas Photos
Decorate with special Christmas photos from year’s past. Mine are black and white, simply printed on cardstock with my at-home printer.
#2. Christmas Cards
Display your Christmas cards. Hang them up, set them out, tape them to the wall — whatever. Designate a visual spot in your home to celebrate all those photos of friends and family.
#3. Scripture
Pick a special Bible Verse and Memorize it during the holiday season. We chose the Lord’s Prayer to display on our mantel since my son is learning it in Sunday School.
#4. Create
Make a craft with your children or grandchildren, that can be displayed and enjoyed for many more Christmases to come.
#5. Advent Calendar
Complete an Advent calendar. We are doing a special Advent calendar activity book through our church this year — and it has been great! We’re behind, but luckily, God’s Word does not return void {Isaiah 55:11}… even if you work on your Advent Scripture after Christmas Day, haha.
What meaningful items do you use in your home each Christmas?
