Brittani chose pineapples because she’s always loved them and her daughter has a Lily dress that is bright and colorful with a pineapple print. Plus, this fun party theme completely fit the birthday girl’s personality.

She used the hashtag #partylikeapineapple which perfectly fit her focal feature at the buffet table — a cool pineapple decked out in pink sunglasses.

Her little girl loved the cake, of course {what kid doesn’t, right?}, which was covered in bright yellow icing then topped with bright green pineapple leaves and a smiley face. He’s almost too cute to eat. Almost.

Since this party was partly inspired by her daughter’s bold personality, Brittani placed several quotes on the table to inspire and encourage her sweet girl. She chose “Be a flamingo… in a flock of pigeons” and “Be a Pineapple… stand tall, wear a crown, and be sweet on the inside.” A perfect reminder that as they celebrate her special day, she’s growing into her own, beautiful person.

I love how well Brittani played off the tropical vibe with the raffia style table skirt, bright colors, and flamingos.

She stuck flamingo straws in pineapple cups, which could double as a party favor, too. My son gets excited about basic plastic cups from restaurants, so I’m betting these cute cups would be a huge hit with kids.

Brittani’s menu included simple options that make for easy prep, such as fresh fruits, crackers, and cheese {with adorable flamingo toothpicks}. I know that when I’m planning my kids’ birthdays, easy menus let me have fun with some of those other details — which the kids will remember the most, anyway.
