Great question about the marble -- I had soooo many of the same questions beforehand. I do want to do a "review" post at the 6 month mark and maybe again at 1 year, but that is still awhile off. Here is what I've learned so far:I read mixed recommendations on sealing -- in the end, our installer did not recommend it -- so we haven't and it has done fine.I clean it with this -- http://www.amazon.com/Method-Granite-Marble-Cleaner-Orchard/dp/B009NT22ZAIt does soak up water, so we wipe our off any sitting water each time we use the vanity. This isn't a big deal to us and hasn't been a problem. I have read that if your water is very hard, it might be more likely to stain/etch but we haven't had that problem.I am careful with chemicals (like nail polish remover) or dark colored products (like liquid cough medicine). We use the chemically based stuff somewhere besides at the sink and are very quick to wipe up anything that has a dark color to it. The reason we finally went for it was this -- we visited Italy several years ago and I loved all the old, aged, beautiful finishes even though they weren't in perfect condition. I also own several antique wood furniture pieces and I love the aged look. Our marble probably will change in look over time, and have some blemishes here and there, but it will still age beautifully and naturally. I hope that helps!!

This is beautiful! We have the same bathroom layout (with only hallway door) and are planning the redo it this coming year (working on downstairs bath first).Did you seal the marble counters before use? I love marble and pretty much had ruled it out because of water marks, stains and such. How is yours behaving? I really love the feel of it and seeing yours makes me reconsider it again for our baths.
