In this post: Painting a crib pink and picking out decor for a modern, bohemian nursery. Updates from Week 2 of the One Room Challenge.
We have a pink crib! It’s so pretty…

… of course, I’m only sharing a glimpse this week. Such a tease, I know.
Side note: If you aren’t into painting, you can buy this modern crib — and choose from 8 colors! What fun?! It has a 4-star rating and is $119 shipped with Amazon Prime.
Behind it are the freshly painted walls, a soft gray and cream. The yellow and green wallpaper is but a faint memory {hallelujah!}.
Luckily, the second wall was properly prepped and the wallpaper came down in full sheets. Those of you who have removed wallpaper before, you understand the sheer joy of pulling down an entire sheet at one time. Am I right?
Crib Bedding
So, decisions — I have several to make. First, is the bedding, I love the crib sheet in the mood board. However, it’s $30 — which just seems pricey for baby bedding {yes, I’m cheap frugal}. Here are a few other options that I’ve considered:
Pink Floral – $25 | Coral Pink Tribal – $20 | Coral Pink + Navy – $20
None of these seem to beat my current pick enough for a savings of, at most, $10. If I were going to go with any of these 3, it would probably be the coral pink tribal sheet. However, I’m afraid it may be too coral for the pink crib.
Drawer Pulls
Next decision: solid or glass knobs? As shown in the mood board, I’m leaning toward glass. Which would you pick?
Pink + Bronze – $22 for 10 | Solid Pink – $50 for 8 | Pink + Silver – $12 for 4 |
I am a little nervous that the glass won’t contrast enough with the tone of our dresser. This image, from Project Nursery, is the exact same Hemnes Dresser with pink glass knobs. It’s encouraging, and I think that the glass would work just fine, don’t you? Of course, the solid knobs are the most affordable… so I’ve still got some shopping to do.
That’s all the updates for this week, but I’m liking the progress towards a modern bohemian nursery. If you’ve got any great sources for affordable crib sheets, I’d love to hear!

Everything looks like it's coming along! I really like the pink and navy crib sheet but I'm also kind of "frugal" when it comes to those kinds of things.
