I took the kids to the cutest fall-themed party over the weekend. Yet, “fall-themed” only loosely describes this colorful First Birthday Party. The room was full of bright colors, feminine details, and pumpkins. The idea of a pretty pumpkin party totally won me over, and I had to share.

It was such a happy and colorful party. The centerpieces were pumpkin vases filled with bright blooms. Some pumpkins were solid, while others had polka dots… but they all had a hint of glitter.
I saw this cute idea to stuff pumpkins with flowers… Gerbera daisies are my favorite go to flower… so I knew we had to create a sweet arrangement. – Brooke
The party felt so fun and feminine, while still embracing the fall season. Several pumpkins featured the birthday girl’s initial and other pumpkins were used to anchored balloons.
I kept leaning towards pumpkins because of her fall birthdate and because they are inexpensive… I just so happened to run across those cute colorful dessert plates and I went from there. – Brooke
You can grab a peek at the table settings in the corner of the photo below. I love that she layered two prints {the polka dot cup and striped dessert plate} with solid paper goods. It’s a smart way to create an affordable place setting, that still has tons of personality.
Brooke teaches Preschool at the local school, and she even tapped into the kiddo’s creative side to help out with the party.
…during center time at school we let the kids help paint the pumpkins… I wanted my pumpkins to be glitz and glam and still sweet at the same time. – Brooke
The colorful palette, from the confetti to the plates to the flowers, is something I would never have though to pair with a fall item like pumpkins. Yet, Brooke created this lovely combination, which fit the fall season and her sweet baby girl.
She’s the sweetest baby we’ve ever known. She’s fun and full of laughter and very delicate and soft hearted. She’s a dollop of sunshine… the colors of the party were soft and sweet just like her. – Brooke
