How to Make Large Recipe Wall Art

Greetings! Kelly here from North Country Nest. In case you missed my last DIY, I shared a farmhouse mason jar planter and my inability to keep plants alive.

Today’s DIYs is one of my absolute favorite projects I’ve made thus far. It’s perfect for a famous family recipe or other sentimental recipes that you want to share.

I originally saw the idea on Thistlewood Farms.

Side note: if you aren’t following along with her, make sure to check it out. She’s an excellent story teller and offers so much home decor inspiration.

Anyways, I saw the idea on Thistlewood Farms and decided to try something similar. We omitted the plate rack and did a little different technique for transferring the text because we don’t have access to a vinyl cutter.

The recipe is my late grandma’s which was found in one of our family cookbooks. I never had the pleasure of meeting said grandma, so it feels extra special to honor her [who apparently did not pass her excellent cooking skills on to me] with this recipe board. I’m a peanut butter lover, so picking this one was a no-brainer.

Full disclosure, this project is tedious and more time consuming than the mason jar planter. But, oh so worth the effort!

It’s a great conversation piece for all our guests and adds that extra farmhouse charm to our kitchen.

What a wonderful idea! Love the thought of using a family recipe for this.
