Printable play mats encourage creative fun! Download a set of printable placemats to entertain your kids during meals.
What are your mornings like? I usually try to cram in a little bit of work before the kids wake up and it’s time to fix breakfast. Most mornings are easy breakfasts, but I like to have something to entertain the kids during prep and clean up afterward. My go-to has been videos and tv shows, but that isn’t exactly a great way to get their brains going in the morning. Today, I’m sharing how we are working to build a better breakfast, by starting the day off with Printable Play Mats.

Play Mats – such a better choice than the television, right? Each of the free Play Mats features an activity that challenges the mind and inspires creativity. The kids can be artistic and I can focus on food prep and cleanup. They can even play while eating since the Play Mats are wipeable.
This is such an easy project… a quick trip to Wal-mart, and I was ready to go with everything I needed. If this is something your kids would enjoy, it will take less than a half-hour to pull together.

Tabletop Play Kit
I know that we won’t use our Printable Play Mats if they aren’t close at hand during breakfast. That’s why I’ve set up a Tabletop Play Kit on the table in our Breakfast Nook. That sounds like a fancy title, but it’s just a tray with a few essentials. Fill Mason jars with Legos and Dry-Erase Markers to use with the Play Mats. If you’ve got older kids, set out breakfast on the tray, too. My son feels like a “big kid” when he can get everything himself.
A quick, self-serve breakfast can still be nutritious even though it’s easy. Your kids can get protein, carbohydrates, and vitamin C from a simple combination of Great Value Milk, Blueberry Lender’s Bagels and Del Monte Fruit and Veggie Fusions – while also supporting a great cause.
Join Feeding America in The Great American Milk Drive to help deliver highly desired and nutrient-rich gallons of milk to hungry children and families who need it most. More than 14 million servings of milk have been delivered to food banks through this first-of-its-kind initiative. Visit milklife.com/give to learn more about The Great American Milk Drive.
Our breakfast and morning routine is a little simpler, and much more creative, with Play Mats for the kids.

What a great idea Lora! I love that the playmats are reusable. I really need to invest in a personal laminater because I have so many things I want to laminate, but don't want to have to run to the store to do it.
