How to Make a Set of 10 Beautiful Valentines Bible Verse Cards

Find out how to make 10 beautiful Valentines Bible Verse cards. The FREE Valentine Scripture Printable can be a gift set, individual Christian Valentine Cards, or used as scripture memory cards.

Each week, we work on memorizing a new Bible Verse with our son. For the month of February, I’ve created a set of 10 Valentines Bible Verse Cards. And, guess what? You can grab them, too. The free Valentines scripture printable can be used for scripture memory, as a gift set, or as Christian Valentine cards.

Valentines Bible Verse Cards

Centered on love, each card in this set of 10 includes a Bible Verse and seasonal artwork. Surprise your little one around Valentine’s Day with a card in their lunch box each day. Practice memorizing Bible Verses at home throughout the month of February. Or, attach a piece of candy and give the cards as a simple Valentine.

10 Valentines Bible Verses to Memorize

A common misconception about scripture memorization is that every word must be recalled exactly (even including words such as “a”, “the”, “is”, “and”, etc.). This isn’t the case, just like we don’t always recall favorite lyrics or quotes exactly.

Therefore, Scripture memorization is simpler with paraphrased versions of scripture (while holding to the intended Biblical truth, of course). In an effort to encourage a joy of Biblical learning rather than tedious memorization, some of the following verses have been paraphrased or shortened.

10 Verses for Valentine Cards

  • God is love. – 1 John 4:8
  • Love one another, love comes from God. – 1 John 4:7
  • God so loved the world that he gave his Son. – John 3:16
  • Love does no harm to a neighbor. – Romans 13:10
  • A friend loves at all times. – Proverbs 17:17
  • Love the Lord with all your heart, soul, and mind. – Matthew 22:37
  • We love because he first loved us. – 1 John 4:19
  • Love your neighbor as yourself. – Mark 12:31
  • Be patient with one another in love. – Ephesians 4:2
  • Love your enemies, do good to them. – Luke 6:35

How to  Make a Set of 10 Valentines Scripture Printables

  1. Print the Valentines Scripture Printable at the end of this post onto white cardstock or kraft cardstock.
  2. Use a paper trimmer to cut the scripture memory cards along the black borders. If you don’t have a paper trimmer, scissors will work fine (though I’d totally recommend a paper trimmer in your craft supply arsenal — it’s one of the best tools!)
  3. Next package and use the cards in one of several ways:
    • as a set: clip together with a decorative bulldog clip or punch a hole and tip with festive twine
    • individually, as a Valentine: sign your child’s name and tape a piece of candy with Valentine’s washi tape to the back of the card
    • individually, as a lunch box notes: write an encouraging note on the back and drop cards in your child’s lunch box during February
    • be creative!
