Welcome to our very last week of the 8-Week Organizing Challenge! As Lora mentioned yesterday, our topic for the last week is organizing mail and paper clutter.
Today I’m going to share with you some ideas for ways that you can organize all those magazines, bills, and important papers that come into your home. First up, let’s look at some ways that you can use your wall space to serve as an organizing area. Using hanging baskets, organizers, and more can be a great way to keep mail and paper organized in small spaces where you don’t have room for a desk or table paper sorter.
If you have a table or desk where you can organize mail, these are some cute ideas. I love the wooden rail organizer-such a creative upcycle project!
File cabinets are great for organizing multiple files and papers but unfortunately they’re not always the cutest item for organization. Add a touch of cuteness to your file cabinet by giving it a fresh coat of paint or by adding some decorative paper.
Looking for a place to keep your files organized but out of sight? Try taking a bench and using the inside to hold hanging file folders.
Now that we have looked at places to organize paper and files, let’s look at a system for organizing files which includes color coding and labeling. Check out A Bowl full of Lemons to see the system she uses to organize her files.
That’s all for now! Lora will be back later this week to share more about how she organizes her paper clutter and I’ll be back Friday for another edition of Kick-Off Friday. Have a great day!
