Well, I know it’s mid-January; but I’ve had some time to think through what is on our to-do list for 2016. Here’s a peak at what to expect this year…
#1 Guest Bath
This space got put on-hold after Thanksgiving {life was busy}, and we’ve started back at it this week. The big projects are mostly complete — it’s just the finishing that is remaining.
To-do
- Caulk Board & Batten
- Paint Board & Batten
- Finish Trim {behind toilet & beside vanity}
- Install Backsplash
- Hang Mirror
- Hang Towel Hooks
- Hang Art

#2 Laundry/Mudroom
This room actually looks like it is already finished; but I still have a few projects in mind.
To-do
- Finish Trim {around air register}
- Install Shelf
- Build Slim Cart
- Paint Cabinets
- Replace Light-switch

#3 Master Bedroom
There isn’t much left to complete in this space. Our wardrobe hardware is on the way. We still need nightstands; but I’m not going to buy any until I find exactly what I have in mind. In other words, this room may stay 90% complete for awhile.
To-do
- Purchase Nightstands
- Install Wardrobe Hardware
- Purchase & Hang a Full-Length Mirror
Install Laminate Flooring

#4 Sunroom {specifically, the Office}
The Sunroom is our family room and where the “office” is located. This space has bugged me lately. There is too much open storage… and not enough closed storage. Some work needs to be done in this space; but the plan is an unknown at this point.
#5 Backyard
So, you might have noticed that the first 3 “projects” are mostly finished… and the 4th isn’t a huge project. What will we be spending all our time on? The outdoors. We’ve purposely scheduled our indoor projects to be manageable and easily completed by spring.
To-do
- Trampoline
- Fire Pit
- Toy Shed
#6 Deck
The deck has two levels — I’d like to spend some time working on both levels.
To-do
- Clean, Protect & Stain the Wood
- Outdoor Bar/Serving Space
- Play Spaces {sandpit, tool bench, etc.}
- Add Lighting
#7 Exterior
I’d really like to paint the shutters this year; but it’s a big job. We’ll see!
To-do
- Pressure Wash Siding
- Paint Shutters
- Replace Light
- New House Address Sign

I love your bathroom; excited to see it all the way finished! And I'm excited to follow along with your outside projects, too--I definitely need some inspiration in that area!

Funny! I'd been thinking I need to look back through some of your outdoor play area things you've done for the kids :)

Those all look like amazing plans! Isn't it amazing how the to-do list just never. seems. to. end. Seriously, every time I feel like we are close to be done, I come up with a whole other set of things I want to accomplish. It makes for great blogging material though :)
