Working as an event planner, I have multiple events going on each month so I must be organized in order to make the events successful. To bring in both color and organization to my office, I created a bright fabric covered cork board.
This project was so much fun to complete! It cost less than $10 to create and only took 30 minutes to make. The supplies I used included this IKEA Cork board (size 22 3/4 x 15 1/4), Thumbtacks, Fabric (1/2 yard, similar), and a glue gun. I chose to use duck cloth as it was thicker and I felt it would be more durable over time. When choosing thumbtacks, be sure to use the kind that are flat and look like nail heads.
Before starting the project, you will want to iron your fabric so that it is nice and smooth and free of any wrinkles.
Voila! You have a customized fabric cork board! I love how it turned out and how simple it was to make. I’m sure I’ll be making another one to have in my home office as well.
