Interview Questions for Kids

At the start of 2017, take a few minutes to interview your child. The questions in the Interview are designed to cover basics, like “Favorite Toy“, along with conversational topics such as, “How Do You Help Others?“. I loved my little guy’s sweet answers.

I help people get back up when they fall down or get hurt. – 5 Years Old

It makes for a special moment chatting together, along with documenting precious memories.

All the colors are my favorite… well, except brown. – 5 Years Old

Plan Ahead

Grab a simple folder to store the Interviews and print multiple copies of the document. That way, when 2018 rolls around, you won’t have to dig through computer files in order to print another copy. Choose a time for the interview based on when the child is in their best mood and happy to chat {for us, that is first thing in the morning}. No need fighting a sleepy child for answers to questions.

My 1st best friend is my sister. – 5 Years Old

If the child is young, write their answers; but let older kids fill it out for themselves. If you are writing answers for the child, try to incorporate their personality rather than making sure the question is answered correctly.

My favorite animal is Rhinos… no T-Rex… T-Rex AND Rhinos. – 5 Years Old

This is so cute. I've done interview questions for my kids for grandparents or on their birthday but nothing like this. I'll have to do it now! I know my kids would give some fun (and funny) answers.
